Introduced in 2015, the SME Bank 90-Days Business Challenge is an entrepreneurship competition specifically designed for students of Community Colleges who are undergoing the Entrepreneurship Incubator Programme. This competition is organized alternately with the SME Bank Y-Biz Challenge. Also known as 90-Days Biz Challenge, the competition is a platform for Community College students to practise entrepreneurship while learning the subject in their respective colleges.
As a part of the competition, the students are required to set-up a company and run a proper business. The finalists of the competition will attend a boot camp session to enhance their knowledge on entrepreneurship. During the boot camp session, Centre for Entrepreneur Development and Research Sdn. Bhd. (CEDAR), a wholly owned subsidiary of SME Bank, will provide entrepreneurship briefings and workshops as guidance for the students to prepare their proposal paper. They will also be exposed to leadership skills, motivational talks and the public speaking to build their self-confidence. The finalists of the competition will be given seed capital for them to run their business.
Winners of the competition will be judged by the success and profitability of their business. All participants of this competition are automatically inducted into the SME Bank 90-Days Business Challenge Alumni.
90-Days Biz Challenge offers a total prize of RM30,000.00 in cash. Apart from that, winners will also be receiving trophies, certificate of participation and the champion will be taking home a challenge trophy.
